How to enable Google Analytics in your WordPress

Register your website on your Google Analytics Account

1. Navigate to https://analytics.google.com/ and login (or signup if haven’t yet).

2.Fill up the form with the necessary information and click on “get tracking id” button.

3. Accept Google’s Terms of Service Agreement.

3.  Click on Authorize Plugin button.

4.  Go to back to your WordPress website and Install “GA Google Analytics” plugin.

This is used to easily add the GA tracking code within your WordPress website.

5.  On your WordPress backend, navigate to settings> Google Analytics.

6. Go back to the Google Analytics window and take note of the tracking code that  has been provided .

7. Go back to the Google Analytics plugin (WordPress) window and input the tracking id on the Plugin Settings tab > GA Property ID field and click on “Save settings” button.

It is possible that it will take a couple of minutes before it takes effect due to different reasons. (website cache, for example)

Install Google Analytics Plugin

1. On your WordPress backend, navigate to Plugins > Add New.

2. Search for “Google Analytics”, Install and Activate the plugin.

3. Search for “Google Analytics”, Install and Activate the plugin.

3.  Click on Authorize Plugin button.

4.  Enter the access code and click on  “Save Access Code”.

If you don’t know have the access code yet, follow the instruction below.

1. Click on “Get Access Code” link.

2. Login to Google and allow “Google Analytics Dashboard for WP” to access your Analytics.

3. Copy the access code that has been generated.

4. Paste the code and click on Save Access Code button.

5. Navigate to Dashboard and validate that the analytics of your website has been configured correctly .
